Mike, Maroussa, Antonis & everyone else who works at Ios Resort really make the place so special. All the clubs are in the town centre.īig shout out to Antonis (who works at the pool bar in the evenings & Traffic at night) what a legend. Traffic and the rest of the nightlife in Ios is less than 5 minutes walk from Ios Resort. Mike gave us wristbands for his club Traffic which we visited twice and had so much fun at. We tried the club sandwich, Mikes famous burger, the toasties, the souvlaki, the bacon and eggs and of course VEGEMITE toast!! We can honestly say the food was awesome. It paid off because the food was sooo delicious. Normally we don't eat at our hotels but we loved the Resort so much we gave it a shot. The rooms are also SUPER clean!! Our room had a little bar fridge, toiletries & a great hairdryer (Girls you will appreciate this) Our balcony had an amazing view over the pool and then on to the famous white and blue buildings in the city centre and of the sunset. We were shown to our room (#12) which was incredible! The room has just been renovated and was absolutely gorgeous inside. Already the place had such a warm feeling being family run. On check in we were greeted my Mike's sister Maroussa. On the way to the hotel Mike pointed out some places and gave us a run down on the area. We were picked up from the port by Mike the owner. Marousa notified us at breakfast to save us from going to port for no reason, and we were allowed to stay by the pool and in the resort all day until we finally got the next ferry out. When we were meant to leave Ios, our ferry was delayed by 12 hours. They were always around to help out and give advice on what to do and where to go. Mike and Marousa at Ios Hotel are the most accommodating and relaxed hosts you will find. It is walking distance to the beach and there is also a supermarket close by.

Mike owns one of the most popular bars in Ios (Traffic Bar) and as a guest of Ios Resort you get free and priority entrance into the bar. It is only a short (5 mins) walk from the hotel to all the bars and restaurants. There is an outdoor pool where all guests hung out during the day as well as a poolside bar for drinks and snacks. There is free wifi in the rooms as well as throughout the hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2016 and couldn’t recommend it enough.
